Brighten up your small balcony garden during fall/autumn
When the leaves turn and fall in the
autumn months, you can still have
some vibrant blooms left in your balcony garden with the right planning and the right choice of plant.
Plant them in pots, railplanters, or on the windowsill, but wherever you put them,
they’ll be cheerful additions to your fall balcony garden when they bloom.
●Begonia

I choosed tuberous begonias in orange colour because it matches with the colour of autumn.
They bloom in almost every color except blue.
Multiflora begonias, which are related, have a plethora of fall blooms in a variety of colors, including scarlet, orange, yellow, and pink.
● Snow Berry / Honeysuckle

Caprifoliaceae (honeysuckle family)
Snowberry is one of my favourite because of its cute berries which it bears at the end of summer and in winter.
Also called the Pearl tree, this shrub is often noted for its white or pink berries that appear at the end of summer.
They can hang on to the tree all winter long.
Particularly well suited to being grown as a hedge or a standalone, it will also attract birds in your balcony garden and that is one of the reason that I choose to plant this .
● Cape Daisy

Cape Daisy
I bought this Cape Daisy during summer. It is really a pretty purple with the dark purple center.

The white daisy is pure white, in my opinion. I fell in love with it the very first time I set eyes on it. I hadn’t seen a daisy like this before.
As you can see, this plant grows well in my balcony garden.

I planted mine in a rail planter so that I can see how Bees are feasting over this beautiful daisy. I still enjoy watching it blooms as the fall/ Autum says ”Hello”
●Vinca Minor

(Vinca minor), known as common periwinkle, is a perennial groundcover that produces blooms in a variety of colors.
Periwinkle vines most commonly put out a blue flower in spring, but the color can also be lavender, purple, or white.
They may bloom occasionally in summer, too, though the summer display will not be nearly as magnificent as the spring display. It has a medium growth rate and is typically planted in early spring; however, the hardy plant will tolerate being planted in the fall and mine even did survived in the winter time.
It will rebloom intermittantly throughout the year.

They are excellent as hanging plants for your balcony garden too
The vine spreads downwards like a hanging curtain which is what I love about Vinca Minor. It creates a romantic vibes in our balcony garden.
